Little Brainstorm

Today in class, All of our writing groups are writing stories about the topic our teacher gave us. For my group (Tusitala) our group topic is "The Harakeke has many uses in New Zealand"

Earthworms :)

Today the year 8's had another fun lesson at Tamaki College. Today's topic was Earthworms. I've learnt that Worm don't have Spines, Bones, Lungs and other things that humans have. It's really weird because nearly all these things are needed in the human body. Without soil worms wouldn't be alive right now. Some worms can live without soil but most of them can't. Earthworms are really interesting to study about. Worms are a big help to our world. These worms bring fresh soil for our plants to grow. it was really fun because we got to touch real worms and do amazing activities. Hopefully next week's lesson is fun as well. 

Plastic bags !!

Last week Friday, The year 8's from room seven had there first actual technology with our new Science teacher Mrs Sharma. Our topic for last week was about plastic bags are how it's used. It was really fun because we learnt heaps of information we didn't even know about. We had heaps of fun activities to do and we got given free science books to take home. I've learnt that plastics can kill sea creatures, and that they can do a lot of damage to their bodies. Anyways last week's lesson was very fun because we've learnt a lot.
